Keep the video on your server
After your uploaded video starts on the connected VPS, the broadcast process can continue while your laptop is off. Your server and its network must remain online.
Find your Kick connection details, prepare compatible video settings, and manage your cloud broadcast with a clear checklist.
For kick creators who want a repeatable process for server-based video publishing.

Use the current URL and key from your Kick Creator Dashboard.
Before you begin. Encoding settings belong to your broadcast. Saving a destination only stores the connection details.
In Kick, open the Stream URL and Key settings for your channel.
Paste the complete RTMPS Stream URL and the separate Stream Key. Set your title and category in Kick.
Use H.264 with constant bitrate, no more than 8,000 kbps, and up to 1080p at 60 fps. Then check the Kick preview.
Account eligibility and platform controls can change. Follow the requirements shown in your account. Some official help pages require sign-in.
Create a workspace, enroll your server and upload your video. Add Kick in Destinations using its URL and key, then prepare a prerecorded broadcast in Live streams. Choose the source, server and output settings, start manually, and verify the platform preview.

Save provider-issued URLs and encrypted stream keys, then select destinations when preparing a broadcast. Plan limits determine how many outputs you can use.
Review output attempts, failures, timing and reported transfer in your dashboard. Confirm audience delivery and viewer analytics on the destination platform.
Upload a recording that fits Kick’s rules, choose compatible encoding settings, and connect the current URL and key from your creator dashboard. Start the output from your workspace and check the channel preview.
You supply the server and eligible platform account. Hosting costs and plan allowances still apply. Schedules currently save planning records; start broadcasts manually. Browser camera production, platform chat and audience analytics are not integrated.
Share your Kick channel link. Viewers can open the channel on Kick; the stream URL in your destination settings is for publishing video, not watching it.
If playback buffers, lower the player’s quality when available, reload the page, and try a stable connection. If many viewers report the same issue, the creator should inspect the source and platform preview.

Check that the correct server is connected, the URL and key belong to this broadcast, and the key has not expired. Review the run error and platform preview before retrying.
Compare the source file, server CPU and network capacity with the chosen bitrate and resolution. Reduce the workload and run a short rehearsal before a longer broadcast.
Play the source file locally, check that it contains the intended audio track, then check mute and volume controls in the platform preview and viewer player.
Share the public watch or event URL. Check account restrictions, event visibility and sign-in requirements. Try the link from another device with the intended viewer permissions.
Set the resolution, bitrate and frame rate when preparing the broadcast in your workspace. Saving a destination only records where the video should be sent.
A running status reports the process on your server. Check the destination’s preview and viewer page to confirm that audio and video arrive and that the broadcast is published.
You can select multiple destinations when your plan permits. Each output uses server resources and transfer. Review each platform’s rules and configure settings it accepts before starting.
No. The workspace helps you prepare and operate broadcasts. Audience growth and earnings depend on your content, audience, platform eligibility and other factors.
